Dottie always gets through all treat and puzzle toys withing ten minutes or so, so I did some research and tried to find a super hard one. I decided on the tug a jug, bought it, and it's totally too hard for her. Sigh. Maybe over time . . .
you can also try putting smaller treats in with the rope to make it a the next step harder! They fall out more easily that way! Oh, and someone once suggested putting tennis balls in a muffin tin with a biscuit under one of them...cheap and effective, until they figure out how to get the balls out!
Good idea! I can't think of any treats smaller than the tiny kibble I had in there, but that's definitely the way to go. Gustav managed to thrash it around his crate with the rope in and get a lot out. He can't play with it in the living room, though, because I'm worried he would smash the TV into bits. I love the tennis ball idea! I'll give it a try.
I took the rope part out and now she's into it. Hooray for not wasting twenty bucks. I'm such a dog toy sucker.
